Fratellos Italian Tavern Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

My fiance and I ate here for a special birthday dinner because of the reviews and recommendations from friends. We loved the mozzarella, tomato, balsamic reduction app, Caesar salad, fresh bread and chicken parmigiana and a seafood dish with pasta. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. BUT there was a bug on the plate the Parmesan cheese was served on. It can happen but I was disappointed that we never received a apology or recognition that it was unpleasant to have a bug in your food.

Had dinner here last week for the first time and was really impressed. It was hard for me to believe that the space used to be Aunt Bea's because of the interior , but they did a great job with the decor and have a very cool bar I wouldn't mind having a drink at sometime. There are so many Italian restaurants that just taste "cheap" but this was not one of those. They had several dishes that were technical in creation, and I think everything we had was executed well taste-wise. The prices were very reasonable and I'll look forward to going back.

I came because the reviews were so good.. Dinner was terrible. Chicken Parmesan was dry and overcooked/burnt. I had to ask the waitress for bread, which was decent but brought a tiny bread for a big group. We ordered Calamari and it was tiny! We tried to order soup and they were out, we ordered off the menu a Buchanan's and they were out as well. We will never be back!

I had dinner here on New Year's Eve and it was delightful! The service was great. They had a great deal on champagne and all of the food was delish! My favorite apps were the stuffed mushrooms and the scallops. I ordered the Caprese Ravioli and it was tasty. I would defiantly go back!

They sat us outside real quick, we ended up moving inside because it was too windy. The food was wonderful and, the service... at first. The why we gave it three stars is because the Manager came to our table to ask us "Weren't you suppose to be outside?", that threw us off a little bit. Something that also did bothered us a little was that since we moved inside, it seems that most of the tables were reserved and some of the workers glared at us from time to time. The waiter was really nice.

I don't give it any stars I have eaten and a lot In all parts of the world and this has been a lousy's Italian food ,over cook pasta, under cooked eggplant, watery marinara sauce, The bread was very hard, and the caramal was like it came off other peoples plates and was and was served to us in a soup bowl and without sauce ,to us the service was mediocre and the prices were totally totally too high for their food and service I do not recommend stay away if you can.

Food was great... portions large but leftovers great the next day... ordered cappuccino and was served what tasted like instant... not a great ending to a wonderful meal

Delicious! Average entree price is high teens to low 20 but totally worth it. Great date spot. Solid drink menu- beer wine and cocktails. They have a house sangria too. You will leave here full!! Highly recommend

This is that nice corner Italian Restraunt. With a moderate atmosphere, noted outside seating, also a bar inside, this a good place for a special relaxed date, cozy birthday celebration, or you just want to make a moment. The staff were more than the expected courteous, helpful, and attentive. Our waitress gave attention to every person in our party, not just the person who would be paying the bill. I also couldn't help but notice the director for the evening carefully planning out details with the staff and ensuring they were knowledgeable for the evening's specials and wine selections. No wonder they knew what was going on! Now for the food. Our group had a variety of selections, all stated their dish was served at the proper temperature, the right seasonings, were superb in overall taste. Even the most discretionary in the group was delighted. The salads were perfect as well. After the meal, I couldn't help but notice I was not overstuffed from fillers or just extras in my chicken piccata, it was just right! This is a dish that is meant to be lean but full of flavor, it was spot on. When I'm in the area I will eat here. So sorry to the national chains in the area, this is just better.

My boyfriend and I recently dined here after reading wonderful review. Sadly, we were horribly disappointed. It really felt like we were living in an episode of "Kitchen Nightmares". Our server was very sweet, but our food was awful. Both pasta dishes were raw, cold, and under seasoned. We both felt like everything was over priced, especially since the quality wasn't great. It really is a shame; the location is wonderful, the dining room is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. Here's to hoping we just went in on an off night.

We went on a Friday night and this place was packed! I don't know if people discovered it or what, but we had to wait for a table at the bar, which is fine. This time Husband got pasta with prosciutto in it. He said it tasted kinda...hot-dog-like...? I didn't really taste that. I got scallops and octopus with arugula. I should have know arugula would be strange. But I love seafood. It was cooked perfectly.

What a surprise! Came up to N. Chuck from DT to go to EVO. After we were told it was an hour wait, we crossed the street and went in. Delicious! The veal Marsala was great and the wife had the eggplant dish that was equally good. Great atmosphere, great service. We will be coming back for sure!!

Had dinner here Saturday night. This was our third visit in the past 6 months, and we have been pleased every time. The food is terrific and priced very well. Great portion size, as well. I had the salmon, which was to die for! Hubby had the pork, which he loved! The service has always been good, and the food comes out quickly. It is a little bit less expensive than most downtown restaurants but every bit as good. Parking is somewhat limited, but we have managed to find a space within walking distance every time. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that, when the place is busy (which is pretty much all weekend), it can get rather loud. Not sure why the acoustics are bad. If you weren't looking for a quiet, romantic dinner, you will be fine, although it is still a great date place! May want to hold off on the dessert, as the portion size is kind of small for the price. Still tasty, though.

New to the area..went with next door neighbors who love eating there. Very beautiful bar. Service & food was excellent. Got the seafood fra diablo..spicy. Portions were good. Will definitely become a regular.

Had our rehearsal dinner here. The service was above amazing and the food was unbelieveable. They let us eat family style and added things that weren't on the menu that we wanted (like some amazing meatballs.) We all had a great time and I'd highly recommend them for an event (we were roughly 25 people.)

Thank God! I've been looking for a great reasonably priced Italian restaurant in the Charleston area for years. I live in Hanahan and if I crave pasta there are only chain "Italian" restaurants which suck. I went there today for an early dinner with my sister. The obligatory bread basket was awesome. They get the bread from EVO across the street. This is not your average white Italian bread. It is artisan bread with a thick crisp crust and an amazingly chewy flavorful inside perfect for sopping up the stellar garlic and herb infused olive oil. My sister had the manicotti. Italian comfort food at its best. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the cheese was terrific but the sauce was out of this world. It was perfectly seasoned and tasted bright, fresh and very tomato-y. I had the linguini with clams. Again, the pasta was perfectly cooked. (Yeah, seems a no-brainer but at the chain restaurants it over cooked more often than not so perfectly cooked pasta tends to make me weep with joy). The broth was fantastic, again great for dipping the bread and the clams were tender. Our server, John, was awesome. He has a fantastic sense of humor and was a joy to interact with. He also gave us a great tip for a butcher shop. I will definitely be back! Why is this place always empty? Don't get me wrong I love not having to wait but what is wrong with people??? This place is awesome! Had the cavatelli this evening. So yummy.

After reading reviews we decided to try this place for dinner for our night in Charleston. Overall great service, my husband has a dairy allergy and they were very accommodating to this and the chef came out to our table a few times to go over some options and to check on how we liked everything. We eat out quite a bit and really appreciated the extra courtesy. Drinks were good, we tried the fizzy cocktail with their homemade limoncello as well as the espresso martini. My daughter liked the spaghetti and meatballs a lot. The salad with the goat cheese, hearts of palm, figs, roasted red peppers and candied walnuts was delicious. We also had the special shrimp francese that was excellent.

Had an early dinner here before a muslcal event on the old Navy Base. It was close so checked it out. Just read another review that said they get their breaq EVO.. No wonder it was so wonderful. This place is small and was very full when we finished eating, so for a Monday night, they had a great crowd. We all loved their food. One had Chicken Cacciatore and it was outstanding. Two had a seafood dish, with a very spicy tomato sauce. (I believe: Fra Diavolo di Mare) NOTE TO RESTAURANT: Plesae update your on-line menu. I had their special ravioli which was very tasty and well cooked. All portions were large and filling. We also ordered their special appetizer which was a pasta roll filled with salmon and goat cheese... Overall we were very pleased and will be back next time we are on old Montague area of North Chuck.

Great little Italian restaurant! I was staying in North Charleston on business travel and a local co-worker recommended this spot. Everything about the experience was great. The waiter said we could order 1/2 portion of the salads as an appetizer, so I started with the Insalata del Fratello. You can't go wrong with the artichoke, fig & goat cheese combo in my mind. So good! As a main dish, I ordered the Cavatelli. The fresh, house-made pasta that was just fantastic. Great atmosphere, excellent service, very knowledgeable and friendly wait staff. Nice location too in Park Circle.

We went for dinner in a Saturday night. Not crowded as we expected at 7, but filled up later. Good food, good wine but nothing to write home about. The panna cotta for dessert was delicious--even though it wasn't fully set. The atmosphere is nice, but as others have mentioned it gets very loud. They could use some fabric decor to absorb noise. Wait staff was nice enough. Probably would go back and give it another try.

I've been to Italian restaurants all over the country, and this one I'm pleased is in my hometown. You can't go wrong with anything from the meatball sandwiches or the traditional Fettuccine Alfredo (with shrimp is my personal favorite). The ambiance is perfection, and the customer service is phenomenal. The staff is very knowledgeable and above the bar every time that I come in.

Awesome food. Best mussels I've ever had. The staff was friendly and very quick. Great atmosphere. Will definitely go back next time we are in town

Penne cooked to perfection in vodka tomato cream paired with an exquisite cab. It was a late dinner, but a memorable and delicious one. Their insalates were incredible too as apparently was the Fra Diavolo di Mare (loosely translates in my vocabulary to a bunch of good looking dead crustaceans of every kind on a plate!) Fratelllos is a little gem of a diner that is a welcome culinary relief amidst the rather dreary manufacturing environs around. Certainly one of the better dining options in the N-C area.

Overall good experience. Wait staff good be better. Didn't pay enough attention to My table, ran out of drink a few times. The table next to us didn't get their bread. Wait staff was hanging out at another table talking. Food was fantastic though. Would recommend just based on food alone. Don't expect an attentive staff.

I finally made to get some food. It was amazing. They also have Hendricks gin. A plus. The staff was polite and accommodating. My server Brianna (I believe) was absolutely lovely. The rib eye with goat cheese special was epic. Absoluely epic. I can't wait to dine there again.

Yummm! Happened upon this quite by accident and oh so glad we did! Molto Delizioso! Had the penne ala vodka (added chicken) & chicken masala-both excellent!

Yelp gets it right again... Up front, my friends and I joke all the time about there's no such thing as authentic italian south of Philadelphia or west if Chicago ..., well there's a new benchmark in my book now! Tuesday Evening 8:00-9:30 meal (on purpose). The atmosphere was candlelight- offset with a simple ceiling chandelier and additional ceiling lighting; the music was a great backdrop of swing; and our waitress was attentive and Chef Kevin Bruntz (go 'joisey) had the chance to introduce himself to a few tables during the night. Oh, the food was delicious "Caprese Salad- the mozzarella fresh, and Roma tomatoes were crisp; the garlic infused olive oil & bread hit the mark/reminded me of the multiple times being in the Mediterranean; the manicotti was tender and had a good amount of filling; and the veal parmesan was stellar- I literally slowed down to enjoy every fork full since I recognized the meal was a definite cut above. I understand from reading yelp reviews that Fratellos can be quite crowded for the the Thurs-Sat crowd so that's why I wanted to share the Tuesday experience. Again, Good atmosphere, Great portions, courteous staff, Fratello's... East Montague Avenue's best.

Friendly service, good wine selection, had Stellina di notte vino bianco, special app Antipasto salmone & gamborini pate, shared entree of seared scallop tortellini with pancetta de crema, cannoli -- capito? Lived in Italy several years. Will return on next bizness trip.

The absolute best Italian in Charleston. And I'm a Chicagoan. Everything was great. The service, however, I would give perhaps 4 stars because she was very soft-spoken, thus we had a hard time understanding her. Plus she was a bit slow and non-attentive. But that pales in comparison to the divine food and atmosphere. We can't wait to go back!

Tops in food service wine list no longer have need to go downtown and pay downtown rent ! for my dinner ! Being Italian and from New York City I can add Fratellos as another reason I don't miss NY City !!

My husband and I love Fratellos! We live near Park Circle and frequent the restaurant regularly. It's always delicious and priced just right....dishes ranging between $13 & $22. The portion sizes are large and we never leave hungry. They have an excellent wine selection and the staff is knowledgeable when pairing wine with our entrees. Love, love, love their cavatelli dish and their vodka sauce!!!!

Went there on a Friday just before 6PM. No problem getting a seat. It got more crowded later. We loved everything about this place. The food was the best Italian we have ever had. The service was great and the atmosphere was perfect. I had linguine with clams encircling the plate. My wife had egg plant. Both were delicious!

I had a team of people in for business, and I took them out to dinner. The hotel suggested this restaurant. It is in a nice little restaurant and bistro district, kind of place. There was a wine bar and an upscale Pizza Place. This Italian they said was Family owned. The food was amazing, so was the service. I had the stuffed mushroom appetizer and what I call a Caprese With tomatoes and Mozzarella etc. I had their home made Lobster Ravioli, and I got a side of Angel hair with Bolognese, both were amazingly good. We shared a Creme Brûlée, and it wasn't the best, I thought they went too far charring the sugar. I would highly, highly recommend this place. The service was very, very good. They did ask if we had a reservation and we did not, so we were lucky they had a table. The atmosphere was also very good, it felt like a very nice place.

  • Stephen S.

No reservation but walked in on a Saturday night a little after 9:30PM. There were 3 tables open, opposite sides of each other at the restaurant. Hostess was sweet but said they are reserved by other reservations and the wait can be 45 min to an hour!? It's 9:30PM!? and the restaurant closes at 11!? Who turns down a $100+ tab. Business is great I guess....I hope those reservations gave a credit card to guarantee. Make reservations at all times no matter what time or day.

Excellent! Food is fantastic, reminds me of Little Italy in NYC. We keep coming back for lunch and dinner, even though waitresses have a bit of an attitude and they don't do house red by carafe. Food is not cheap, full dinner will run you $60 per person on an average. Be careful ordering specials, ask for the price, my husband ordered a stake sandwich for lunch and was surprised by $27 price when the bill came.

Definitely a class Italian restaurant, but priced to please. I had the Ravioli with white sauce over Arugula and Laurie had the salmon. The sauce was light, but flavorful and the lasagna filled with a savory cheese. We ordered the chocolate cake for dessert. Laurie hates cake, but it sounded so good to us that we ordered it anyway. They brought out this huge slice for us priced at $6 and it almost knocked us out of our chair. We sat outside in the rain, totally protected by a large umbrella. It is located on a very upscale looking street with many new businesses. A really nice atmosphere. The waitress was very friendly, but a little slow. We'll be back.

2nd time here. Food is the best, bar is comfortable, dinning is A1. People are very nice. Prices are AOK. This is the best thing in the area, which is up and coming. The entire area is growing. A great thing, more great things will happen here. Keep an eye out, but a must for this Resturant. Frank G

I'm not sure what to say about Fratello's except that it was good. Was my experience great? No. It was just okay. My sister and I came in for dinner on a busy Friday night. We were greeted and seated promptly, and our waitress came over with water. Then she disappeared. When she finally came back over we'd had more than enough time to make our food selections. She asked to take our drink order and then as I was in mid-sentence saying "and for my dinner I'd like..." , she just turned around and walked off; leaving me with my mouth open. About ten minutes later she showed up with our wine, and we FINALLY got to order dinner. I ordered the eggplant Rotellini and my sister got the daily ravioli-which was a trio of favors that night. The eggplant was ok, but it was nothing to write your nana in Rome about, it was just ok. My sister ate 1/2 of each ravioli flavor, made a face after each taste, and just pushed her plate back. It took so long for our waitress to come back and check on us that neither of us felt like complaining because we would have been there until closing waiting for something else. I may come back to Fratello's again, as most of the other reviews are positive. As a retired chef I do understand that even the finest restaurants have off nights. I definitely experienced a very off night.

Can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Service was great, attentive and friendly but not pushy. Cool little neighborhood near Circle Park. Food was excellent, all of our party of 6 (plus two youngsters) had excellent and bountiful meals. I had the pork braciole and it had great flavor and excellent sauce. The Calamari appetizer was very tasty with a light batter. Also, most restaurants don't pay attention to little things like the complimentary (ok, we pay for it eventually) bread, but Fratello's had great tooth, excellent taste and had good olive oil and Parmesan cheese to go with it. But, most importantly, my friends had two rug rats with us who were generally very good, but kids. The staff treated them with respect and made their, and our experience, very enjoyable, I'd go back here in a heartbeat.

The clam chowder was really satisfying good even though I did not detect much clam. The fresh warm bread and the olive oil go together perfectly. My chicken scarpariello, however, was a huge disappointment; the 4 pieces of chicken were all too dry that I couldn't and wouldn't swallow. The few strings of green veggie were not the freshest with some yellowish ends which I would have discarded if I did the washing (maybe they weren't washed?). What a bomber! I was totally looking forward to a nice Italian meal for dinner!

I love this place. It's as close to REAL Italian food as it gets. Chefs raviolis are creative and delicious. Handcrafted sandwiches for lunch. Don't go if you are in an extreme hurry as the wait staff can be a bit slow; but hey that's what I experienced throughout Italy. Overall an excellent place for food.

Discovered via online reviews. Hidden in outside strip mall. A few small tables outside point the way. We had to wait for an inside table. They were quick and polite. The place is much bigger than you think. We got a table in the way back, and I loved it. They sell local art on the walls. Food was heavenly. We always have to get pizza because we have picky kids, but, ironically enough, I am not picky and I will eat whatever. Desserts will leave you swooning. Dark ambiance that I crave. Clean tables with quirky plates. Waitress was very sweet. Make sure you check hours before going- they were closed on a certain weekday (Tuesday, I believe). Affordability mingling with decadence- that's how I like it.

I love this restaurant and love it double for being in Park Circle. Fratellos has a great menu (large enough but not so large to be over whelming), excellent food (the Chicken Scarpariello and Fra Diavolo di Mare incite drool just thinking about them), and reasonable prices for Italian fare. The atmosphere can be both casual or more fancy if you need to be - it can really go either way. Is it the lighting? I don't know, just trust me on this one. The staff are all wonderful and service usually pretty good. On occasion it has been a little off mid-week but nothing that deters us from coming back. This is definitely one of our favorite restaurants in Park Circle, you won't leave disappointed.

Service was great and the food also! I had the vodka penne pasta and my friend had the osso bucco special. We sat outside, which was pretty quiet for being right next to the main road. You also get the benefit of the live bands playing next door. I will definitely be returning.

This has become my favorite North Charleston restaurant. They are across the street from EVO which is outstanding in every regard however this place has a much more varied menu. It is what an Italian restaurant should be, plus the EVO Bakery makes their bread and they use the same outstanding olive oil. I hesitate to laud this place too much because it is increasingly getting difficult to get a table. However, they should be supported because they are outstanding.

Great Italian food direct from north New Jersey. I had the pork chop special and it was the most tender chop I can recall ever eating in a restaurant. The potato wheels were cooked and served to perfection. They were hot with a crisp bread coating and firm on the inside. Every time I go to Park Circle. This place will be on my go to list. As a note. We did not go inside the restaurant. We ate outside on the sidewalk and were able to enjoy the band playing outside at the bar across the road.

A dismissive wait staff can ruin a fine meal. We visited on August 10 and the young woman who was our waitress seemed especially bothered by serving our table. We compared her interaction with us against her counterpart waiting on other tables and we most certainly drew the lesser talent. For a Monday night with lots of empty tables, a party with a reservation for a special event should never be made to think they are in the way. Our waitress spent a good deal of time making drinks behind the bar and orders to our table were delivered by others with only an occasional visit from the waitress. She made no effort to sell a bottle of wine, only filling our request for a glass of wine once, never asking if we wished another. Boxes of food to take home after clearing the table were left on the table while we waited for dessert to be delivered. Perhaps it was an off night, but I got the impression that this place really isn't interested in new customers. That can be a fatal flaw in this town.

I've enjoyed my time each time I've been here. The wait staff has always been great, the food generally good (the chicken can get a little dry, at times) and the prices aren't over the top. Plus, it's usually easy to find parking close by. Not really all that amenable for kids, though, IMO.

Tried this place with friends tonight. It was busy and loud but we had reservations and were seated right away. Has the tomato pie for appetizer. It was delicious and so fresh! I had the special--pork shank with risotto. The pork was braised perfectly. So tender and flavorful. I tasted my friend's salmon and risotto and it was also amazing. Everyone ordered something different and it was all delicious. With restaurants like this I can't imagine why anyone would go to a chain restaurant for Italian. If you're going for dinner during the weekend it's a good idea to call ahead for reservations. Food is 5 stars. I subtracted one star because we waited a while for our food and my water glass was empty and not refilled (server didn't notice).

Had dinner here with a co worker and was not disappointed. When we exited highway we were not impressed but then we got to the village it was an oasis in an industrial wasteland. He service was excellent without being intrusive. The beer was cold with a multitude of options to choose from. Our pasta dishes were superb and plentiful. My friend ordered the special which was shrimp based and it was delightful. I ordered the pasta fra diavolo. Quite spicy and packed with seafood. Great little gem of a restaurant.

I've had Fratellos bookmarked for the longest time, and finally got to go for my Dads 80th birthday. Inside, the restaurant is elegant. Nicely decorated and warmly inviting. It's an interior that beckons like an old friend. The curved bar is spacious, well stocked and a great place to meet up and hang out. Our server was so nice, well informed and friendly. She became as one of us. She recommended a perfect wine for my sister. I was glad to hear they had the locally brewed craft beers from Holy City on tap. I ordered the Manicotti and it was great! Sometimes, manicotti can be bland, but not at Fratellos! My sister had the mussels, and she said they were some of the best she has had. Dad had the shrimp fettuccine which he said was a little dry, but had a great taste. Mom enjoyed her Chicken Parmesan, which was actually a sandwich, but they accommodated her by leaving off the bread and making it an entree. Prices were not outrageous either. Perfectly in line, and perhaps less expensive than other places of the same or lesser quality. We all had a great time and enjoyed the food and atmosphere! I will definitely be back.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this place. An Italian joint in park circle seemed a little out of place and I am not really a fan of Italian food. Stopped in for lunch and was greeted by a friendly staff and the waitress was super nice and helpful. The atmosphere seems authentic and would make a great place for a nice dinner out or even a date night. I ordered the chicken with risotto and thoroughly enjoyed ever bite. I will be returning for dinner soon to see if they can secure a five star rating from me.

Fantastic food, bar & service. Fresh off a visit to a 30+ year Vegas Italian restaurant a couple days ago, this place blew it away. Glad I didn't head into downtown Charleston as I had initially planned. Great Diavolo sauce, stuffed mushrooms & Marsala sauce were excellent too

Our original plans were to have a few drinks at DIG and then head to MtP for dinner but changed our plans when we saw this place. I have been wanting to visit here for some time and wow was it perfect. The ambience inside is hard to describe but its like stepping back in time to the roaring twenties, at least that is how I felt. Overall the atmosphere was classy yet casual. We decided to order their special for the day, a ravioli and drum. Both were incredible! I cannot remember exactly what was in the ravioli as it turned out the lunch ravioli was different from the dinner and nobody told our waitress. We ended up liking it so it didn't matter.

Wow, this place is good, really good! I'd been wanting to visit here and finally did this evening. Love the fact that it's in Park Circle area. I stopped by rather late, shortly after 9pm so it wasn't very crowded. It's a very nice place, casual feel to it. Service was very good and the food, delicious. I had the chicken parmesan and it was outstanding. My server recommended the tiramisu for dessert and that was the best I've ever had. Prices were reasonable, portions good sized. I'll be heading here quite often!

I ate here for lunch unexpectedly because every where else was crowded. Pleasantly surprised! I had good ole spaghetti and meatballs, and it was fantastic. They also bring some bread and butter out, which was also really good. The place is clean, with white table cloths, I'm assuming it's fancier during dinner time. If you are craving Italian, this is the place to go.

What a disappointment to say the least. The service was wonderful but the food fell short..... Very short. From the tiny plate of calamari to the chicken parm which was made incorrectly. We told the waitress we wanted the chicken parm in pink sauce but was made with tons of tomato sauce instead. She brought us a side of Alfredo but there was no way of drowning the overpowering tomato sauce. Because the Alfredo sauce is made to order by the time the sauce arrived the food was cold. Their tomato sauce was extremely overpowering. We know that we aren't fans of tomato sauce hence why we asked for the pink sauce and even went as far as telling her 'on the light side.' Their bread was freshly made and brought to the table a couple times at our request. We were looking forward to delicious pasta and even had to wait over half an hour because we were a group of 6 and they only had tables for 4. Portions are pretty big and the service is wonderful from the hostess to the waitress and even the gentleman that came to the table to make sure we had been waited on but man does it hurt to pay a big tab and leave disappointed at the end of the night. A comment was made at the table that I couldn't agree with more.... 'This is why you go to chain restaurants.' We're from out of town so this might 'exceptional' Italian food locally but in no way would this restaurant stay open in Miami.

Just had the most amazing time here, and I'm Italian, so I'm qualified to say that. Such a cool atmosphere, awesome food, and great service (thanks, Kristen, for letting us chill for three hours!) Get both types of peppers they offer with the calamari and squeeze that all over. Perfect complement to the salty fried-ness. I got the dinner special risotto except without whatever meat was supposed to be on it. If anyone ever wants to mind control me, all they have to do is use that risotto. Dangle it in front of me and I become powerless to deny your every command. They have multiple chiantis, interesting cocktails, homemade limoncello, PORT WINE! (why is it so damn hard to find port wine in the States???), and garlic infused olive oil. Read that again and let it sink it: garlic infused olive oil. I know, you just died a little. Go on a weeknight, enjoy a fabulous blend of casual yet formal dining that is intimate, delicious, and everything you will need to get you through the week. And call me - I'll join you, but I'll probably eat all you garlic infused olive oil.

Our meals over all were good. The squid was lacking seasoning. It was fresh but the breading was just plain. My chicken masala was OK, but again, it was lacking cheese. I love this place. When they first opened, it was clear they had some wrinkles to be ironed out, but they quickly fixed any and all of their inconsistencies. Colleen and I tend to go for dinner (I can't do Italian food for lunch - makes me sleepy) about twice a month and always enjoy our experience. The staff is excellent and the portions are generous. They get their fresh bread from Evo Craft Bakery right across the street. Chicken Parm and the Shrimp Pasta are ridiculously good. They also have a lot of fresh specials that change all the time. The last time I was there they had a scallop dish that was awesome. If you haven't been to Park Circle in the past year or so, you need to come and check out the area. This is just one of many welcome additions to the neighborhood. Protip: Get a reservation on Friday and Saturday nights, it tends to be busy, especially in the summer months. No surprise there; the food is awesome!

Food is Still Wonderful! The beer prices are a little high. It left me with a little gulp when I looked at the check. I love the ethereal sounding music...

Had our rehearsal dinner here. The service was above amazing and the food was unbelieveable. They let us eat family style and added things that weren't on the menu that we wanted (like some amazing meatballs.) We all had a great time and I'd highly recommend them for an event (we were roughly 25 people.)

Delicious! Average entree price is high teens to low 20 but totally worth it. Great date spot. Solid drink menu- beer wine and cocktails. They have a house sangria too. You will leave here full!! Highly recommend

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
